A Piece of Dry Bread

This morning me and the kids were doing a morning devotion together and we read Proverbs 17:1, which says, "Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting with strife." Angel asked, what does that mean? I asked him to tell me what he thought it meant. He said, "It means that it's better to eat a dry piece of bread and have peace than to have lots of food and fighting." Precisely. I asked Alliah which one she would rather have. Alliah quickly chose a piece of dry bread and a quiet, peaceful house. Angel, on the otherhand, said, Ooooh...that's a hard one. I want lots of food and sometimes fighting, but not just a piece of dry bread...except if they're biscuits." Oh my child!!!
